H.E. Allan Joseph Chintedza Hands Over Chairpersonship of Member States of SADC in the PRC to H.E. Francois Nkuna Balumuene | ||
On October 2022, H.E Allan Joseph Chintedza, Ambassador of the Republic of Malawi to the PRC handed over the Chairpersonship of Member States of the SADC in the PRC to H.E. Francois Nkuna Balumuene, Ambassador of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to the PRC. In handing over the Chairpersonship, Ambassador Chintedza expressed gratitude to members for the support rendered during his term as Chairperson. He noted that the SADC group has received admiration because of the way members have worked as a group. He encouraged all that this team spirit should continue saying “individually, we are a drop of water but as a team we are an ocean and we can move issues together.” The incoming Chairperson, H.E. Balumuene, in his acceptance remarks, thanked H.E Chintedza for his work as Chairperson. He encouraged members to continue supporting one another and work together in engaging the host country. The Dean of SADC Ambassadors to the PRC, H.E. Dr Elia G. Kaiyamo, Ambassador of Namibia thanked the outgoing Chairperson, Ambassador Chintedza for leading the institution patriotically and diplomatically. He also welcomed the new Chairperson, Ambassador Balumuene and assured him of the support from all SADC Ambassadors. The event was attended by representatives from SADC Country Embassies in the PRC. | ||
